Week 5 Assignments

  • My (a)symmetrical world
I believe symmetry to be a myth for humans, similar to the holy grail. It exist in our reality but it is never to be attained by humans who are asymmetrical creatures.
  • Just what does this "CP violation" really mean?
C refers to charge conjugation, where it is understood that every particle has an antiparticle. The P stands for parity, the reversal coordinates. In other words if we were looking through the looking glass like Alice did, we would see a world that for everything that exist so does it exact opposite both in matter and spatial position. CP violation leads us to believe that if charge conjugation and parity are so then why is it that we see more matter then antimatter...for if they would ever meet they would virtually cancel themselves out.
  • Are there connections between Sacred Geometry and Physics?
Sacred geometry is "the study of the unity of the cosmos, demonstrates relationships between Number and Space and the Human Form" while physics examines basic concepts such as energy, force, and space time. In a way they are both natural sciences that examine space and energy with the use of numbers, very similar in a way yet very different. Sacred geometry examines the unity of the cosmos while physics examines the unity in nature.
  • Response to Nati's Blog on Sacred Geometry and Physics--
Now that i look at sacred geometry I do see the symmetry, it is all symmetry. There might be some truth in that blue prints of existence is symmetrical even though symmetry is not expressed in it's outward reflection. Meaning humans are symmetrical even though our physical image is asymmetrical our genetic image is symmetrical...like in sacred geometry.

Week 4 Assignments

  • How has e=mc2 affected you?
As far as how I think (referring to my linear thinking) it provides my brain with some grasp of how energy and mass is connected, how everything is connected. Frankly though I still am some what vague how the speed of light was determined.
  • How would you compare the four “forces”?
The main comparison i would make would be strong, weak, and electromagnetic forces can be unified, though there value is not the same they are all interconnected forces yet gravity is the only one of the four that is not. NO present theory can explain gravity perfectly, as a matter a fact gravity is more a function of the universe then a force...it is an on going topic of research to this day.
  • What is the function of gravity?
As far as for us, it acts as a force that keeps us on the ground, away from floating away. As far as the role it plays in the universe we still do not now its function outside our world...our reality.
  • Replying to "Heidi function of gravity"--
I never thought of it as a "safe place" for life to exist in this universe. This poses a good question, what role does gravity play in existence...can life exist outside the frame of gravity?

Week 3 Assignments

Synchronicity
Evidence is in the eye of the beholder, what may be proof for myself may not be for another. One example a USC alumni (with degrees in unrelated fields) meeting for a breast cancer fundraiser in the state of Washington, only to run into each other at a bar catching a USC game thousands of miles away in Shanghai, China (both there for unrelated reasons). Fate or just mere synchronicity.

Connectivity
A link either physical and metaphysical, yet a link nevertheless.

Week 2 Assignments

Is the universe weird?
If you consider weird to be bizzare, strange, unexplainable but at the same time explainable, then yes.

Causality
Causality in essence is the relationship between cause and effect, according to me I see it as an infinite variable. Relevant only to a time that has no time, to a moment. Applicable to those who live outside the the present.

Week 1 Assignments

I am not at all surprised, if anything this weeks reading clarified notions i myself have come to wonder. There is no way to prove with certainty anything but you can be certain of being uncertain...within Yin exists Yang, and within Yang exists Yin. Opposite factors, there is no "pure," no one definite exist, no certainnty of anything.
